John, started out answering phones on the weekends at RE/MAX Affiliates North in April of 1990 while going to night school for a master's degree in business (Mercer University) with concentrations in Real Estate Investment/Finance (Georgia State's Graduate School of Real Estate - only 12 in entire U.S.) & American Architecture (Georgia Tech's Grad School of Architecture).
He was promoted to assistant office manager for RE/MAX in TOWN and worked for the Broker/Owner who at the time was the #1 agent in the entire state and taught John all his marketing & sales techniques so John could help train the new agents as they were hired.
In 1991 John finished his MBA and real estate license classes and started out as a buyer's agent becoming rookie of the year with an average of 4 homes sold per month.
In 1995 John got his Broker's license, in 1997 he finished the Graduate Realtor's Institute( http://www.realtor.org/griclear.nsf/pages/WhyGRI )and by April 1998 was in the top 25 in the State. He was then inducted into the RE/MAX of Georgia's Platinum Club.
In 2004 he obtained the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist Designation ( www.CRS.com). The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experiences and education.
In 2005 John joined the next generation of real estate companies: KELLER WILLIAMS REALTY here in Atlanta.
John has been married since November 20, 1993 to his beautiful wife Shellie and has two precious children, Ian and Kate who are ages 6 and 9.
